Hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe during these challenging times.
As we informed you a few months ago, IMC17 has been postponed to 22-25 April, 2021 and we are happy to see that many of you have chosen to transfer your participation to these new dates.
As the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic is still very actual and none of us can predict what the situation will look like in April 2021, we have started discussing alternative formats to present and participate. We do think in uncertain times like this, with traveling restrictions and social distancing measures, offering an option to present and participate virtually is necessary to make this conference inclusive and accessible to all.
With this in mind, we would also like to inform you that the call for abstract is now open again and will remain so till the 15th of October. The guidelines for submission are the same as in previous calls for abstract. You can choose between an oral presentation and a poster presentation. Both theoretical and research-based as well as more practically focused experiences within O&M are welcome. You can find all the necessary information on the conference website.
For those of you who have not registered for the conference yet, we have a new early bird registration deadline, 22 January 2021.
We will closely follow the Covid-19 development in the coming months and at the latest by January next year, provide information regarding the alternative formats and other related practicalities for the conference in April. We do still sincerely hope that many of us are able to meet in Gothenburg as planned. We appreciate that this conference is a much-valued and enjoyed opportunity for our community to meet people, share ideas and to challenge our thinking.
